Sorry for the delay in posting some more on the blog, we have had a few days without service.
We left Katherine thinking that we may have crossed the border into WA but as it turned out, we didn't!
Our first stop was at the Victoria River Roadhouse. We were greeted with this view whilst having our lunch & the kids even got a real kick out of seeing a helicopter take off into the sky!
Then it was time to move on again. We didn't get all that far before we needed to get fuel, Timber Creek is where we stopped for fuel & where we ended up staying for the night.
We had a great 2 hour swim in the pool & then showered. Our first trip into the toilet block & we found this:
Kids were so excited to see another frog in the toilet! It brought back memories of Yapoon from our trip in QLD.
We went & checked out the local Timber Creek Hotel - too rough to take the kids into the bar so we got an icy pole & headed back to the van. The kids played with Leggo, Phe did a reader while Trent cooked the roast pork & I did the vegies! We knew that we were going to cross the border the next day & would have to give up our F&V, so we had a huge cook up! Yum!!
We cleaned up & then watched a movie together before bed. It was also nice to speak with Nannie Jac & Poppy who gave us a call.
