13 weeks & we are home!

Well, we woke up on Tuesday morning at Port Augusta & packed up ready to go. We left there at 8.15 SA time or 8.45 Vic time. We travelled all the way to Port Wakefield before we stopped for a stretch, a wee, some fuel & a bite to eat. Then our next task was getting to Adelaide & making our way through the other side. We did this with no trouble at all. Kept the kids entertained & let the navman guide us through. It was hard going up through the hills on the other side of Adelaide but we eventually got there. 

We stopped at Murray Bridge for some lunch, just in the van. Then we were back in the car & on our way again. We made it to Bordertown & there was still plenty of light so we decided to keep going & crossed the SA/Vic border. By this time the kids were pretty excited knowing how close we were to home. We got to Nhill before we had another stop but it was worth it, the park was great fun! We rolled into Horsham around 7pm & we pulled into a caravan park.

  So, we have now been on the road for 3 months & haven't booked one caravan park the whole time. We get to Horsham & the town is booked out! So we decided to just add to our 10 hour 800km go home! We did go into Stawell & had a meal at the pub before taking off again. Oh, & some more fuel! We drove along the Western Hwy through Ararat & to Beaufort. From there we turned & made our way home into Nannie & Poppy's driveway!

 We got into the van & Nannie came out to say Hello! The kids were jumping with excitment! Then there was a knock & it was Poppy! More excitment!! Anyway, its nice to be back & we can't wait to catch up with all our family & friends. We would also like to thank everyone who helped us out while we were away. Looking after our animals & checking the mail. Thanks also to Nannie & Poppy for having us back again!
